Windows and macOS
For all staff, faculty, and students, OIT recommends using Microsoft Defender, the built-in antivirus and malware protection for Windows. Defender for macOS is available for ut-owned computers on the software download site.
OIT currently does not provide an antivirus solution for personally-owned macOS computers. An unsupported option is Malwarebytes.
Malwarebytes is no longer available for ut-owned devices. Visit Article: UTK Malwarebytes Discontinued.
Linux
OIT does not support the Linux operating system, but there are many help files available on the ClamAV Wiki here: https://docs.clamav.net/
