Removing McAfee from your system
- Use the Add/Remove Programs Applet in Windows
NOTE: You are responsible for maintaing updated antivirus software on your computer. If you have questions, please contact the helpdesk at 4-9900 before removing the McAfee product.- Go to the start menu and click on the control panel.
- Go to Add/Remove programs, choose McAfee, and click remove.
- If there are multiple McAfee entries, remove all of them. If you continue to have problems, use the following utilities in order:
- EPO Agent Removal Tool
- Once removed, you can uninstall McAfee VirusScan and it will not be reinstalled by the EPO Agent. This UT provided utility removes several registry keys associated with the corporate product.
